Everyone Arrives and a Day at Rachel's!

 Courtney, Dennis, and David drove up to Lincoln from Huntsville all in one day!

David had flown out previously to spend several days with Courtney, and then to make 

the trek up to our house.  Jonathan arrived by plane, not too much longer after the

car travelers.  It was so great to have everyone together again!

This was our first Thanksgiving with all of us since 2014!

Because of work schedules, we had planned to go out to Rachel's on Wednesday, which

meant that I had to do all of my do-ahead Thanksgiving meal preparation on Monday and Tuesday.

It was fun for the siblings to see Rachel's new house and for all of us to be together

on Thanksgiving Eve!

It was a cold and blustery day!  

We had planned to do a cookout with s'mores for dessert to celebrate Jonathan's

birthday early.   We weren't sure we could pull it off because of the weather but David and 

the boys kept the fire going!

Even Kinsley came out for a very short time!

We all bought small gifts to fill a very large green dinosaur piñata for Jonathan.

Even blindfolded, Jonathan whacked it open on the very first try!

But we were all so cold we really didn't mind!

We spent the rest of our time there just visiting, playing games - mostly football for the

four Krause boys, and catching up on everyone's lives.

It was great fun!

Thank you, Rachel and David, for such a great time!

Then.....on the way home, we stopped by Valentino's for some

delicious Nebraska-famous pizza!

That filled everyone up.......for a while!
