Joshua's Snowman!

We had a significant snowstorm the other day, which dumped about six inches on us!

This was my view from the kitchen sink - gorgeous!

But as with most snowstorms, it moved off by the next day and then the sun came out!

Joshua made a snowman!

Looks like it has horns.....snow devil, maybe?

Gorgeous blue winter sky!

Rachel's Family!

We love this little family!
Although this family of four will be soon be a family of five!
New baby girl is due sometime in January or early February!

Little Miss Elenna is a perky five year old girl and she is so smart!
And such a good big sister......

And this little guy?  Nathan's language has been exploding
lately and it's been so fun to hear all his new words!
He will be two in January.

Such a sweet picture of these two!

Ahhhh.....we miss these grandchildren of ours so much!
Can't wait until we see them again!

Thank goodness for Face Time!

A Blessed Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas, and yes.....there was still some lingering

snow on the ground, so we officially had a WHITE Christmas!

Before the boys arrived!

Here's just a few snapshots that made the recipient, and the giver, very happy!

I knew Isaac and Joshua would like their Nebraska and Alabama insulated cups!

With all the many gifts - clothes, food, flashlights, watches, etc. it is very important
to remember the WHY in Christmas giving.

Are we making room for Jesus?

"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever will
believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His
Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. "

John 3:16-17

The Christmas Star - 2020!

After dinner tonight, we drove down our country road to look for the Christmas Star!

The alignment of both Saturn and Jupiter hasn't happened on the night of the

Winter Solstice in 800 years!

It wasn't a giant star with a tail like you see in all the Christmas pictures, but it was definitely
the brightest star in the night sky!

The next alignment will be in 2080, but I won't be here on earth!
I will watch it from my heavenly home!!

Saluting the Flag

I love these two bronze figures in downtown Seward.  They remind me so much of Elenna

and Nathan at this stage.

We pass by them whenever we are in town and it truly does bring a smile to my face!

December Snow!

We had a beautiful December snow last night!

This morning started out cloudy, but the sun came  out and made it a very pleasant day! The boys shoveled the sidewalks and part of the driveway, and  then enjoyed some sledding.

Willie and Isaac enjoyed a snuggle!

Joshua working on the driveway top!  The rest of the drive is gravel.
