I Had a Birthday!

It's that time of year again - another birthday rolls around!
My men went out of their way to make my day extra special!

It started off with a WONDERFUL breakfast!

Isaac worked on the hot dogs and the hard boiled eggs.

Joshua and Isaac made me a beautiful fruit tray!  Isn't it gorgeous?!!!

Joshua unloaded and loaded the dishwasher.

Joe kept them all on-task and made sure the kitchen was all tidied up when they were done!

They blessed me with special hand made cards and lovely gifts!

These boys know how much I love "lists" and they got me magnetic pads for my
grocery and Costco lists!

Thank you, boys!

Joe got me the DVD for "Overcomer", which we all loved when we saw it in the theater.
We watched it that night again - definitely will be a family favorite!

Thank you for the wonderful birthday!  I felt very special!!

The Beauty of God's Creation

We had a little rain over the last several days here in southern Arizona and it gave us
some beautiful and majestic mountain views.

We had a full double rainbow - totally gorgeous!

Now we are back to sunny days and blue skies - equally as beautiful!

If you look closely, you can see the sandhill cranes all heading back to the playa for the night.

Hope you are enjoying the evening skies wherever you are!

Gotcha Day # 10 for Isaac!

I post this picture of Isaac every year because it's a reminder of how far he has come!
What a tiny ,little overwhelmed two year old we met in Xi'an that day ten years ago !

Love makes all the difference in a child's life!
What a transformation.

We celebrated the day by going to Big Tex BBQ.
Isaac and Joshua can certainly pack the food away!

They even finished off the rib plate that Joe and I couldn't finish!

We love you, Isaac, and we are so glad you are part of the family!
You bring such laughter to our lives!

Nathan's First Birthday!

Can't believe this little man is one year old!

We met Rachel and the grandchildren at a park, but Nathan was fussy, so we ended up
eating at In-N-Out Burger and then went back to their house so he could crawl around.

It was so hard to get decent photos because all four of these kids were moving
around fast!!  It was hard to get them to sit still for a decent photograph.  Oh well.
But on a lighter note, we were all so color coordinated in maroon and blue!
Totally unplanned, but it certainly looks nice!

Nathan was much happier after a bottle and a large number of french fries!

Sure do love this little family!  David was working, so we look forward to catching
up with him next time!

These three certainly do get along well with each other.

Isaac was having fun making Nathan giggle!

Happy First Birthday, Nathan!  We love you!

Bye-Bye Fifth Wheel!

We bought this fifth wheel (used) back in 2003 and enjoyed many family
trips around the country in it.
Many great memories...............

Our biggest trip was back in 2004 when we were contemplating moving to Arizona, and we made
a six week trip in it.

But over the years it has sat in the yard as overflow storage and an extra
bedroom when we needed it. We have a friend who was interested in giving it some
extra attention to use on his own property and we gladly passed it on to him.

Lunch With Rachel!

Rachel invited us for homemade pizza and of course we jumped at the chance to see
her and the grandchildren.

Now this dough looks a bit pink for some reason, but her pizza was delicious!

Isaac and Joshua had fun with Elenna and Nathan.

Joe and I had fun with chatty little Elenna, but Nathan wasn't quite so sure about us!

Thank you, Rachel, for a delicious meal!
