Relaxing Family Time

 Rachel and the grandchildren came back over to our house on Saturday, and

even though we had some snow flurries, we cooked out on the grill.

It was great to just enjoy one another's company.

We got a lot of chores done when everyone was here:  the guys inspected our outbuilding roof, 

Dennis trimmed some low branches on some of our trees, and Courtney helped me get some 

pictures updated.  Thank you so much!

Courtney and Dennis headed back to Alabama very early Sunday morning, and

Jonathan flew back to Arizona later that afternoon.

Nebraska vs Iowa Football Game

We bought tickets for everyone to go to the Husker game the day after

Thanksgiving.  Rachel had to work, and wasn't interested anyway, and I chose to

watch the game in the warmth and comfort of our home.

The weather the entire week before Thanksgiving had approached 70*, so it

was incredibly disappointing to have the high be 38* on game day!

But they all had a great time and stayed "fairly" warm!

They don't look cold, do they?

Even thought Nebraska lost, they all had a great time!

Thanksgiving 2023

 We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and had all of the children here with us, except for David, 

who is serving in the Army in Bulgaria!

The weather was dry, but very cold - the week before we had almost 70*

temperatures!  But it was still a great time for all.

Joshua is always so excited to have ten pounds of mashed potatoes!

He and Courtney always make the BEST mashed potatoes!

No one went away hungry, that's for sure!

Autumn in Nebraska

After harvesting the fields adjacent to our house, the farmer put up electric fencing

and set his cows in the field.  So fun to watch!

Engagement!

Courtney and Dennis have been together for a number of years, and we "hoped" an engagement

would be forthcoming!  We like Dennis a lot and feel that the two of them are

a really good match.

They went on a Mediterranean cruise in August and Dennis popped the question in Italy!

We are all so excited and looking forward to a May wedding1
