Our Week With the Grandchildren!

Rachel and David had been planning on being out of town the week of

February 14, and needed us to watch their children.  We were more than happy

to do so, and offered up continuous prayers for good weather, healthy family, and

an all-around wonderful time.

God provided in all of those areas and it was a great, although tiring week!

We started out by celebrating Joe's Valentine Birthday! 💗

We had lots of good playtime when Isaac and Joshua were doing school,

and when Kinsley was sleeping upstairs.  The boys were so great in helping them play!

Elenna worked on her handwriting and did some math problems.

The weather was quite nice during the week, and we went outside every day, but one!

That helped wear everyone out so they would sleep well!

Willie loved all the attention!

Joe got some much needed help in re-attaching a downspout that had come

loose in the wind.

The weather was so nice Joe grilled hamburgers for dinner!

Elenna and Nathan were so polite and helpful!  They thanked me for the good food, took their

dishes up to the sink, and were more than willing to help clean up.

Good job of training, Rachel and David!

Nathan helped by holding the flashlight while Isaac was tightening screws

on one of our chairs.  What a helper!

Miss Kinsley - what can I say?  That sweet baby is an absolute angel!  She takes

a morning and afternoon nap, and sleeps 13 hours, uninterrupted, at night!

When she's awake, she's full of energy though!

She LOVED watching Willie through the windows!  She was even able to make

"woof woof" sounds whenever she saw him.  So cute!

Whenever Kinsley was done eating, her right foot would come out and

start banging on the highchair tray!

Such a happy, happy baby!!

What a wonderful week we all had!

The last morning, Nathan was the first one up and made himself

quite comfortable in my chair!

Sure do love that little boy!!!!

Random Life

Progress on the puzzle is coming along nicely!  Isaac, especially, has really

enjoyed putting this all together.

Joshua made me a new cookbook cover!  This is a collection of family favorites, and

the old blue notebook was falling apart.  So I purchased a new one and

commissioned Joshua to put his artistic skills to work.

He did a great job!

We watched Elenna and Kinsley the other day when Nathan had a doctor's

appointment.  We gave him his birthday present - a junior pogo stick, which

he has had fun trying to figure out!

Kinsley had fun being outside, even though it was windy!

I had another birthday!  Funny how those seem to come around so often!

We went to Shogun, a Japanese restaurant where they cook the food right at your table.

It was great fun, and very delicious!

Attempting chopsticks!

It was a delicious birthday meal and great fun!
