Autumn Beauty

The beauty of autumn is all around!

I'm glad I got these pictures several days ago.  For the last three days we have had

very strong winds, and the leaves are all falling off at an alarming rate!

I'm not quite ready for bare trees!

Our Last Days - Part 4!

 All the fun and excitement was rapidly coming to an end, but we still enjoyed

our last several days in Huntsville.

We went to The Cheesecake Factory before Jonathan had to be at the airport.

Several games of Monopoly Deal were played.

The boys went swimming in the neighborhood pool!

We met Dennis for barbecue over his lunch break.

And then it was over............

What a fantastic visit!

Baseball Game - Part 3!

 Courtney bought everyone baseball tickets at the Trash Pandas stadium.  

The Trash Pandas were playing an away game, but the game at hand was the Military Amputee

Team.  These guys were amazing!  They travel the country and play local veteran teams.

Parachuters landed in the middle of the field.

There was a wonderful fireworks display after the game!

Boating on the Lake - Part 2!

 We drove up to Tims Ford Lake, just over the border into Tennessee, to spend a very

long, full day on Courtney and Dennis's boat!

The weather was gorgeous, and there were very few people on the lake.

Isaac got very comfortable very quickly.....even before we were on the water!

Joshua, getting the life jacket adjusted.

 

Then the fun REALLY began.  Jonathan, Isaac, and Joshua got on the

large three-person inner tube chair!

They quickly decided that it was even more fun to ride on their knees, backwards on the tube!

Joe and I both enjoyed a "more gentle ride" !

We boated over to the marina and had a lunch of pizza and appetizers.

We spent several more hours on the lake before we headed home.

It was a great day and we all went home with wonderful memories!

Alabama Vacation! - Part 1

In early September we flew to Huntsville to spend about five days with Courtney!

This was Isaac and Joshua's first airplane ride, apart from coming home from China.

We had an absolute blast - great weather and good fellowship!

Courtney and Dennis have a beautiful home!

Chloe (pictured) and the new dog, Remy, were thrilled to have Isaac and Joshua to throw

the Frisbee, and just generally play with them in the backyard.

I think they wore the dogs out!

Jonathan arrived from Tucson the next evening!

We enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching the dogs play in the very big backyard!

Grandchildren Are a Blessing!

 We've had the opportunity to have our three grandchildren over throughout the

summer and the early fall.  They are growing so rapidly, and are a delight to 

have around.

at the Children's Zoo in Lincoln, and I snapped this photo all those years ago.

Joe captured the following picture of me, 27 years later, with Rachel's youngest, Kinsley.
