Short Trip to Arizona - Jonathan's Graduation!

We had a very quick trip to Tucson to celebrate Jonathan's graduation

from the University of Arizona with a degree in business finance.

We are so proud of him and the hard work he put in over the last four years!

Handsome brothers!

The first-borns!

Even though this was a mid-year graduation, and just for the Eller College of Business, it

was still plenty crowded!

Jonathan and David headed in ahead of us.

Walking across the stage!

Withe Skyler Primack and David

We had a fabulous post-graduation dinner at Guadalajara Cafe!

We had such a great visit and it was wonderful to see all three of our older kids again!

We got to watch Jonathan and David wrestle on the garage mats.

We ate at Joe's favorite breakfast restaurant, Jerry Bob's!

We enjoyed In-N-Out Burger, as well as a few other favorites..........

.......and enjoyed taking walks around Jonathan's neighborhood.

Arizona Christmas decorations!

Jonathan drove all of us up to A Mountain  - we saw a beautiful full moon over the city!

Loving on daughter  Courtney!

What a wonderful trip!  It was a delight to see Jonathan graduate, plus get to spend some

time with him, as well as Courtney and David!

Fall at the Lake

We have a beautiful lake and recreation area about two miles from our home.

Joe and I took a walk there the other day and enjoyed the fall beauty!

It was so nice to get outside for a beautiful walk, and to just relax

after the busyness of the Thanksgiving holiday!

What a great time we all had!

Boys Will Be Boys!

Boys will be boys.......no matter how old they are!

Isaac and Joshua were so excited to have big brothers Jonathan and David here

to challenge them in football, basketball, and Legos.

I've already covered football and Monopoly in a previous post, so here we're going

to show the basketball and Lego competitions!

Sunday night Lego competition!

What a wonderful way to wrap up  a Thanksgiving visit!

Jonathan's 27th Birthday!

We celebrated Jonathan's 27th birthday on Saturday by having lunch at our

favorite Mexican restaurant, La Cocina.

After the meal, the waiters brought him a dessert, placed a sombrero on his head,

and sang to him.  It was hilarious!

He had no idea what was coming...........

We then headed out to Rachel's house so Jonathan and David could have one more afternoon

with her and the kids.  David was at work, so we weren't able to see him.

I didn't get more pictures of them, because they were outside playing football most of the afternoon!

Elenna and Nathan were so insistent that I watch them doing their chicken chores!

First, they collect the eggs.

Then they went into the garage to fill up the feeder.

A job well done!

We had a lovely sunset on the drive home, and the blustery winds had calmed down quite a bit.

Later on in the evening, they boys had a rousing game of Monopoly.

Who won?

Jonathan, the birthday boy!

So glad we could spend Jonathan's birthday all together!

Twenty-seven?  Wow!  Where has the time gone

Target Practice

The Friday after Thanksgiving was Courtney and Dennis's last day.

After watching the Huskers lose (again), they all went to a shooting range at

Pawnee State Recreation Center, which is just about two miles from our home.

The day was lovely  and they had the range to themselves!

David was a great instructor to both Joshua......

......and to Isaac!

I think they all had a really great time!!!
