Pioneer Village - Minden, Nebraska!

Any trip west must include a stop to Pioneer Village, located in Minden, Nebraska
It is an exhaustive museum of American History and progress through the years.
There's not much to the town, and the museum is suffering from lack of funds,
but it was still a great place to spend a day.

In the middle of all the museum buildings, there is a town circle, showing
the buildings that were a part of our early American heritage.

School is in session!

Joe checks out the outhouse.  We read that many people planted
lilacs and honeysuckle close by to mask the smell.

Beautiful phlox!
I used to have these lovely flowers by my house many years
ago.........when we lived where we got rain!

......and black-eyed Susans!  Beautiful!
I miss all those lovely flowers.

Oh my!  Criminal Joshua is in the stocks!!

This is one cheerful outlaw!

A repentant criminal, perhaps?

When we went through one of the many automobile buildings, we spotted
this yellow truck right away!
Joe's not the only one who likes yellow!

But one of the main reasons we stopped at Pioneer Village was to see Joe's Dad's
Cadillac that we had donated to them shortly after his death.
It was a 1975 and in mint condition with very low mileage.

Love this picture!
I think these boys had a great day!
