Six Years Home!

It is hard to fathom that this cheery, perky young man has been a part of our family for SIX years!

It was six years ago today that Courtney, Rachel, and I, accompanied by our guide, rode a
very rickety elevator in a very cold and gloomy building, to the
Civil Affairs Office in Xi'an, China.

I will never forget seeing the tiny, and very somber, little boy in the orange coat.

He didn't cry, scream, or show any emotion at all.

His world, as he knew it, was about to be drastically changed.
As we walked away with him, silent tears streamed down his face.  This was so
heartbreaking for us to watch as we knew his life would change for the better.
He would be loved and cherished, and most of all have a family.
He would be a beloved son.

Isaac, you truly are our "son of promise", and bring much "laughter" to our home.

You are greatly loved, not only by your family, but also by your heavenly Father.

Happy six year anniversary of your "Gotcha' Day" !!
