Joe and I went for a quick walk the other day and as we turned the corner
onto the street that leads to the path, we came upon eight to ten javelinas!
We quickly crossed to the other side of the street, but that was quite a site!

I celebrated another birthday yesterday, and it was such a treat to
go to my all-time favorite Mexican restaurant here in Arizona!
Magaly's in Benson, Arizona
It did not disappoint!
It was a wonderful day and we had such a nice drive east of Tucson.
Thank you, Lord, for another year of life! I am grateful! 💖💖
Every February, for two solid weeks, people from all over the world descend on Tucson
for the annual Gem Show.
Not interested at all.
Jonathan owns a carwash close to all of the venues and it has an extra lot next to
it. He and his partner decided to put down some rock and open it up
for parking for a very reasonable ten dollars.
He hired Isaac and Joshua to man the lot - they had a great time!
Our youngest granddaughter, Kinsley, also had a birthday recently!
She's a spunky little girl and reminds us so much of Rachel at that age!
Happy Birthday, Kinsley!
Nancy's family was one of the very first we met when we moved to
Arizona in 2005. Her girls, as well as our children, are all grown up now and
living their adult lives. But we have stayed in touch and remained good
friends over the years.
She picked me up today and we spent a fun time down in Green Valley just catching
up on our families, going to our favorite thrift store, and having a
delicious lunch. We had a great time!
The White Elephant, a fun thrift store that we used to visit when our kids were young.
I actually picked up four good books.
Jonathan drove down from Tucson and we tried a new BBQ restaurant
in Green Valley. It was very good and we all enjoyed a good time together!
This young grandson of ours had his 6th birthday recently!
We love you and wish you the best in the coming year!
Joe and I were out an about doing some shopping the other day and
went to lunch at Manuel's.
As we remembered, it was delicious!
Our flights to Arizona were uneventful, even though both were delayed.
We arrived in fine shape and the weather is glorious! We're going around in
short sleeves (not in the cool mornings, though) and we see people on the
sidewalks in winter coats, hats, and gloves.
We got the boys each a bike, and they are having a blast riding all around the
development, eating out, going to the clubhouse, and they even stopped by the
library and got library cards!
This first week has required a lot of set up and shopping, which I despise.
However, when we were at Lowe's, I couldn't resist taking a picture of
these beautiful flowers.
And, just to prove we are indeed in Arizona, I saw this man on horseback
while I was parking at Walmart. So funny!
It's so good to be back and to enjoy this beautiful weather!
The "experts" were predicting much more accumulation than this, but I'm very
glad this storm went more to the south of us.
We got about an inch and a half at the most.
With the big winter storm on its way this afternoon, we decided to go out for
a meal mid-morning. The boys, as usual, ate large quantities of food
and will be ready for another meal in just a matter of a few hours.
Very high metabolisms with these two!!!!
I meant to take a picture of the process, but the boys were so helpful in putting
away the tree, and all the many decorations around the house that it went so quickly!
It's all back to normal.
A beautiful day in the 40*s called for grilling hamburgers on the grill.
As usual, Isaac was up for the task and they were delicious.
